What Is Known
Be extremely careful in communications with F&J and F&J representatives. They cannot know about Mushroom. They cannot know about Tom. Stay Safe.
Theories
- F&J is doing research with the mushroom Tom found, potentially trying to prevent death (evidence: F&J often mention changing humanity, T's note could potentially say FeJ.) Butterflies (F&J logo) are also correlated with resurrection, tying in with religion and the suspected F&J goal of preventing death.
- Religion may be playing a role here, with T being Judas and tom as Thomas. Unclear who Jesus would be.
- Surtsey, the island was named after Surtr, a fire jötunn or giant from Norse mythology. Surtr is said to be connected to the angel with the flaming sword who cast Adam and Eve out of the garden. Surtr also desired to create Ragnarök, the death of gods, bringing Nietzsche and God is Dead in.
- Potential Norse mythology arc, which would validate the alternate reading of T's note. Ragnarok: "Doom of the Gods" ties in with "God is Dead." All trial names, including the "correct" one also tie in with mythology.
- Parallels seem to be everywhere. Various religions, types of mythology, animals.
- Angel could be either a fallen angel or drug-induced machine elf. See references below.

YouTube Video
- GodisDead - Picture of Bible and skull - The Game Starts Now - Mushroom's employee who posted the video left their job soon after doing so. According to Mushroom, he went missing. |
Lift-Off Plea for Help
- Note could potentially say FeJ, a Norse word for close to death |
F&J Pharma Site
- Only one trial seems correct, others are all related to Norse mythology - Hidden page in the sourcecode that allows for comments. |
Recurring Themes
- Philosophical history: Nietzsche (God is Dead, Federich Nietzsche), Dante (title of emails), John Locke quote in Angel's second email message. - Bible references: God is Dead, picture of Bible in YouTube video, John could potentially refer to Milton and therefore Paradise Lost |
T is Gone
- Apparently, someone has lead F&J on to what we are trying to do (save Tom / communicate with T). T may no longer be able to correspond with us. - Confirmed, T will no longer be in contact with us. |
Random Information
- Surtsey.com is a real domain, unsure if it is related - Background of the Mushroom Poster is a floppy disk. A BetaMax tape was also referenced in the Plea for Help, showing a trend of early tech. Top of the poster also contains a cypher, potentially in Mayan script. Using Mayan script, the first three words are test, journey, dimension. - Psychedelic mushrooms have been found on Surtsey island. |
Angel Milton - F&J Researcher
- Same last name as John Milton, writer of Paradise Lost (F&John Pharma also could potentially hint to him).
- Facebook Post of interest:
And so we bring the dolphins to breach inside the land of the machine elves. Machine elves are referenced in shamanic cultures and are associated with DMT hallucinations. The term Machine Elf was coined by ethnobotanist Terence McKenna for the experience. Dolphins can also represent rebirth or guidance. Perhaps the test subjects are meant to be messengers of the powers of hallucinogeics.
- Facebook profile picture: Anime angel
- Facebook profile banner: Terence McKenna, mystic and advocate for psychedelic plants, leading shaman (Tom was said to have met a shaman in Panama)
- Her "about": Junior Research Biologist. Psilocybin and Psilocin Advocate. These are two ingredients psychedelic ingredients that always occur together in nature, potentially part of the mushroom Tom found on the island.
- Enjoys street art from Banksy, claims to have a piece near the lab.
- Born May 22, 1999. Adding these numbers gives 37. There exists an interesting relation between numbers 37 and 666: from 666 we obtain 6+6+6=18 and 18 x 37 = 666. Angel Milton is likely a fallen angel. 37 is also the 13th prime number. This is also the day that McKenna had his last trip, so Angel could potentially be a machine elf, a fractal that appears in a DMT hallucination. Angel mentioned meeting us face to face during the trial, further evidence for this theory.
- Quote given in the second email, only sent to late participants: "Reading furnishes the mind only with materials of knowledge; it is thinking that makes what we read ours." This is from John Locke.
- Facebook post: The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long - and you have burned so very, very brightly my dear T. Assumed that this refers to t, our original inside in F&J. Unclear what this message means, however. It is a quote from the film Bladerunner.
- Has asked to only be referred to as A outside of Facebook.
- On 4/28, her entire profile and all posts made disappeared. Could potentially be a verification process.
